In today's fast-paced society, life can feel overwhelming.
We may be faced with events that make us question who we are or what we need. We may feel unable to manage the ever-increasing demands put upon us at work or in our personal lives. We may simply feel a bit lost and not understand why.
At times like this we could all do with a helping hand, but it is not always easy to know who to ask, where to look or what support is best.
Counselling may be the answer for you.
Counselling is a talking therapy, suitable for all ages, that aims to improve mental health and general wellbeing. It can help you gain valuable insight and understanding of your feelings, behaviours and relationships, as well as new ways of approaching situations. Whilst a counsellor is not there to tell you what to do, through building a strong, trusting and empathic relationship, they can work alongside you to create helpful and manageable solutions.
Within my counselling practice, I work with children aged 5+ years, young people and adults. As an Integrative Counsellor, I do not believe that one size fits all so will use a range of therapeutic approaches to individually tailor sessions.
